Our
Story
Over a meal, as mother and daughter we began to chat about next seasons in our lives and discovered the possibilities of old and new dreams together. Within months we sold our houses of 20+ years, left our home town and ventured into a new season of creating spaces for people to retreat, be refreshed and find healing. We have been giving into people's lives for over 60 years combined and seek to create spaces where people might find "Hope's View" in life. When so much of this life can often make very little sense, the only place we can venture into is seeking God's view of life and how He sees us. This has certainly been the journey for both of us which has taught us that He is the only Hope when we can't see where life is leading. We understand this is not always an easy journey, but desire to create a safe place of refuge and healing for anyone on that journey who needs to know they are not alone or for those who need to be alone for a time.

Spiritual Director
Dr. Carol Preston
Carol is a Dr of Psychology who has been in private practice as a counsellor for over 20 years – now retired. For 13 years she worked with and taught ministers in training, focussing on Personal Growth and Spiritual Formation. She is also a trained mentor and spiritual director and has worked with individuals and small groups to support them in their journey of self-reflection, spiritual and relational growth. Her passion is to help people move towards wholeness, peace with themselves, with others and with God.

Tammy Preston
Tammy Preston was the founding pastor of an Intergenerational faith community in Australia for 18 years and is a founding member of Intergenerate Australia/New Zealand.
Tammy is a trained teacher and has a degree In theology and Ph.D. in Intergenerational ministry. She has written two books and contributed to 3 other widely selling books in the area of Intergenerational ministry. Tammy speaks at conferences throughout the world.
She loves to create environments where people can experience God's love and true community.
Tammy is an adventurer and loves to ENGAGE in nature through photography and loves a Chai latte.

Holy Smokes!!! OMG. it was like heaven on earth. We were overwhelmed at how beautiful and tranquil the property was. we had a beautiful hot tub it was superlative. everything and more was there. They should win an award for hosts of the year. the goodies they provided were cute and yummy. We will be back . You will feel brand new ✨️ after you stay at the magical Hope's Retreat. Wow Wow Wow. They were excellent human beings.

Carol and Tammy's place is a little slice of heaven. As hosts they make you feel welcome and provide a serene and welcoming environment. this place is everything you wanted and what you didn't know you needed. quiet. relaxing and fun. so much to do. what makes this place so exceptional is that the hosts have created spaces that reflects their own personalities. it's full of love, laughter and fun. This place can't be replicated in that it is uniquely crafted into a retreat that renews your mind body and spirit. So blessed to have stayed and it was very hard to leave. Our family will treasure the memories and healing we received here. 1000000/10. Thank you beautiful hosts from our bursting little 💕 hearts.

Tammy and Carol are lovely hosts. The property is great, tonnes of books and dvds if you’re wanting to unwind that way. The spa is clean, well looked after and big! Plenty of space to relax. A great space to chill with friends and listen to music (speaker provided). Would also be ideal for 2 couples wanting a weekend away. Very much recommended
